RESETTLEMENT WORKS ADVANCE IN BENTO RODRIGUES AND PARACATU DE BAIXO

Resettlements , Mariana Territory

Families will be assisted in moving to new districts

This year, the preparation of families for the move to their resettlement homes will begin. Today, in Bento Rodrigues, 47 houses are completed and another 103 are under construction; in Paracatu de Baixo, there are 32 houses with works started.

The houses in the resettlements are in different stages of construction, from the design phase to the masonry, and each house follows a unique pattern. The different phases happen because each family takes its time in the resettlement process.

The situation of the works between the resettlements also followed the time of each community. Despite this, the preparation for the move is valid for both the families of Paracatu de Baixo and those of Bento Rodrigues.

Check the steps of each resettlement:

Currently, in Bento Rodrigues, in addition to the houses, four goods for collective use, Health and Services Posts, Municipal School and Sewage Treatment Station are finished and two are under construction. In Paracatu de Baixo, most of the streets are lit. Since the end of April, the electricity network has been installed on the interchange of the São Caetano, Gualaxo and Monsenhor Horta roads. The works on the Sewage Treatment Station (ETE), the Water Treatment Station (ETA) and the reservoirs (supported and elevated) continue to advance.

The Monsenhor Horta Railway Station, a district close to the resettlement of Paracatu de Baixo, continues to be restored. The work was established by the Municipal Board of Cultural Heritage of Mariana (Compat), through an environmental condition, in view of the risk of impacts in the Monsenhor Horta district, due to the construction of the Paracatu de Baixo resettlement.
