FOREST RESTORATION WORKSHOP

To consolidate the general lines of the action plan for forest restoration in the Doce River Valley, the Renova Foundation brings together experts, academics and civil society in its first workshop on the subject. Discussed are different aspects of forest restoration, such as strategic guidelines for the restoration of 40,000 hectares (about 98842 acres) along the Doce River Basin, the concept and importance of landscape management, the creation of ecological corridors and ways of stimulating farmers, focusing on the economic sustainability of the restoration.
