RENOVA FOUNDATION OPENS REGISTRATION FOR YOUNG LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROJECT IN MG AND ES
Registration for the Passport for Revitalization project was opened. It aims to promote young leaders' training in the territories affected by the Fundao dam collapse in Mariana (MG). The project selects one hundred young people between the age of 15 and 29, residing in the municipalities of Resplendor, Itueta and Aimores, in Minas Gerais Baixo Guandu, Colatina, and Marilandia, in Espirito Santo.
WITH REMOTE PROCEDURES, MARIANA SURPASSES THE MARK OF ONE THOUSAND HANDLED INDEMNITY RELATED CALLS
The indemnity process in Mariana, which started in October 2018, surpassed the mark of over one thousand calls in the Extrajudicial Negotiation Phase. Of this total, about 40% occurred through remote procedures, adopted after the closure of the Mediated Indemnity Center due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. So far, R$ 203.5 million has been paid in indemnities in the municipality.
