MORE THAN 5 THOUSAND PEOPLE WERE INDEMNIFIED IN 5 MONTHS THROUGH THE SIMPLIFIED INDEMNITY SYSTEM

The Simplified Indemnity System, implemented for indemnity payment for categories with hard-to-prove damages caused by the Fundao dam (MG), surpassed the mark of 5,000 payments. Over a thousand agreements were forwarded to court for approval.

2020 LOSS OF PROFIT WILL BE PAID BY MARCH 2021

The Renova Foundation started the payment process for Loss of Profit for the year 2020. People who reached an agreement in the Mediated Indemnity Program (PIM) received indemnity for Loss of Profit in previous years. Those who remained impacted in their economic activities, even if partially, in 2020 were entitled to indemnity.

PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN RENOVA FOUNDATION AND BRAZILFOUNDATION PROMOTES ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THE DOCE RIVER BASIN

The first cycle of the partnership between the  Renova Foundation and BrazilFoundation, aimed at the promotion of economic development and entrepreneurship in the municipalities affected by the Fundao dam collapse in Mariana (MG), made it possible to develop 13 projects in six cities and towns in Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo located in the Doce River Basin. In all, approximately R$ 738 thousand were invested.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE GOVERNADOR VALADARES WATER PIPELINE REACHES THE URBAN STRETCH

The works for the new water withdrawal system in Governador Valadares have come to a new phase. In parallel with the activities in the rural stretch, the construction of the new pipeline reached the city and will transport water from the Corrente Grande River to the Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) Santa Rita, Vila Isa, and Central. It will have the capacity to supply 900 liters of water per second.

RENOVA FOUNDATION ORIENTS LAWYERS TO FACILITATE ACCESS TO THE SIMPLIFIED INDEMNITY SYSTEM

The Renova Foundation published the booklet "10 points to pay attention to when using the Attorney's Portal", aimed at lawyers or public defenders of the people who adhered to the Simplified Indemnity System, implemented due to a court decision.
