Countermeasures: Obtain signature for the contract addendum, review the engineering projects and obtain final approval by the Technical Board of Tailings to start the works (Complete).
• The reconstruction of the Barra Longa exhibition park, scheduled for 2019, has not been started. Causes: Indetermination by the Municipal Office of the location of the exhibition park, delay in the contracting process and pending engineering issues. Countermeasures: Perform integrated planning for the works in the surroundings of the exhibition park (nearby park, access roads and houses).
• The reconstruction of the soccer fields in the municipalities of Mariana and Barra Longa (Municipal Field of Barra Longa, Pedras and Ponte do Gama), scheduled for 2019, has not been completed. Causes: Delay in the contracting process for execution, pending engineering issues (Campo Municipal), indetermination of the reconstruction site (Pedras) and delay in the acquisition of land for reconstruction (Ponte do Gama). Countermeasures: Validate the project of the field with the Community and Public Authorities (Campo Municipal), define a location for the reconstruction of the field (Pedras) and obtain the signature of the land acquisition contract (Ponte do Gama).

Reconstruction of five houses in Mariana.

Presentation of the two projects to the Municipal Government (current and new location) to define the location of the Exhibition Park.

The scope of the Program was increased by 185 items, which led to an increase in the budget of the program by R$ 109 million and the deadline increased with 14 months. The justifications for this adjustment in the deadline were sent to the Technical Board on June 5.

The teams continued to work on renovating buildings, yards, support structures and bridges. Works on the Bicas bridge were completed on May 17.

The process of contracting companies to carry out civil works and other building reconstruction works has also been finalized.

Based on the assessment results, the Program’s scope was increased with the inclusion of 183 items. As a result, the deadline for the execution of the works was extended with 14 months.

The teams continued the renovations of buildings, yards, support structures, in addition to the bridges of Bicas and the ones between Mariana and Bento. The maintenance activities on access roads in Barra Longa and Acaiaca and the soccer field of Barra Longa also continued.

The processes for hiring the company that will carry out the construction of the rural structures in the areas affected by the dam collapse were finalized.

Renovation work on buildings, backyards, support structures, the Mariana-Bento and Bicas bridges, maintenance of access roads in Barra Longa and Acaiaca in Minas Gerais, and the Barra Longa football field are underway.

In February, meetings were held with companies that will perform the engineering services for the restoration and maintenance of unpaved roads.

In Mariana (MG), maintenance work was done on three stretches of unpaved access roads between Ponte do Gama and Fonseca. In the municipality of Barra Longa (MG), renovation on 13 backyards and lots was concluded. Furthermore, Green Gramados was hired for the application of grass on the Barralonguense and Rodoviarios soccer fields.

The renovation of an air monitoring station in Paracatu de Baixo, district of Mariana (MG), was delivered. Also completed were the renovations of 12 backyards and lots, besides the completion of the works to lift the rodoviarios field in Barra Longa (MG).

The projects of the Camargos-Bento Rodrigues and Bicas bridges were completed. The renovation of the Technical Reserve, located in Mariana (MG), was also completed. In November, activities started for the design of the project and the interconnection with the Cemig network of the houses under reconstruction.
In Alvinopolis (MG), the urban road was paved and the paved roads in the district of Fonseca were renovated. In Santa Rita Durao, district of Mariana, paved roads were also renovated in November.
In the municipality of Barra Longa (MG), 18 yards were renovated and the adjustments to the location that serves as bus station, classified as a public good, were completed.

In Mariana, work has begun on the reconstruction of the Mariana-Bento Rodrigues bridge and four rural properties. In addition, the projects of the Camargos-Bento Rodrigues and Bicas bridges are being developed. In the districts of Santa Rita Durao and Fonseca, paved roads were recovered, and, in Bento Rodrigues, the community garden was reopened.

In Barra Longa, the construction works on the José de Vasconcelos Lanna Municipal School were completed, as well as the renovation of three backyards and the cultural center Casa de Cultura. The site where the Coach station is located was lifted and the boarding area was adjusted.

Initiation of the setup of the construction sites for the renovation and reconstruction works of the bridges Camargo/Bento, Bicas and Real.

The renovation of and adjustments to the Jose de Vasconcelos Lanna Municipal School, in Barra Longa (MG), is still underway.

The company that will perform the maintenance of the paved roads used by Renova during the implementation of its programs in Territory 1 was selected.

In Barra Longa (MG), the renovation of the Exhibition Center was completed. The landfill was finished by using the tailings and by throwing a layer of sand on the area; Reno Mattress is being placed for surface protection, as well as the assembly of the construction site for the reconstruction of the houses of the village. In addition, the development of the detailed engineering of the bridges Camargo/Bento, Bicas and Real, in the Mariana (MG) region, is underway.

Completion of contracting processes for rebuilding and restoration of houses, rehabilitation of paved and unpaved roads, reconstruction of bridges and rehabilitation of support structures. Beginning of the recovery works on the backyards in Barra Longa (MG) and the reconstruction of the residences in Mariana (MG).

Completion of the reconstruction of houses in Raimundo Alves Xavier street, Barra Longa, Minas Gerais.

The contracts with the companies that were working on these fronts were finalized and new contracts are already under way, which justifies the temporary reduction of the recovery works and infrastructure.

The reconstruction of houses, cattle guards and fences in Barra Longa (MG) is in progress.

In Barra Longa (MG), there were technical visits for the restructuring of gardens and plots and the opening of the process and/or monitoring of the processes/projects: cracks (building renovation and maintenance), recovery of paved and unpaved roads, indoor cleaning of the municipality, garbage collection, restoration of the Xavier Hotel, land surveying, renovation and reconstruction of constructions and expert reports. Also, continuing in progress in the municipality are the process of recovery of non-paved roads, the activities related to lifting the roads and the reform and reconstruction of damaged buildings.

Whereas in Mariana (MG), the reform works to the cemetery of the Paracatu de Baixo district were completed, as well as three cattle guards and the fencing of a property, in addition to the survey of a house and land leveling of three houses and two locations where new housing will be built. There also was a mitigating renovation of the bridge connecting Mariana to Bento Rodrigues and the maintenance to unpaved roads is ongoing.

The definition phase for the program between Fundão and Candonga was approved.

Yards were delivered in Barra Longa (MG), a house was finished in Morro Vermelho and access roads were restored for the community. Whereas in Mariana (MG), the renovation of the Morro de Santana school and the cemetery wall were completed, as well as the conceptual engineering of two houses. Also, carried out were the maintenance on unpaved roads, the topography of 10 houses to be rebuilt, the expansion of the storage building for Sacred Arts and the renovation of the roof of the Mainart Farm and the installation of a tank.

In Barra Longa (MG), houses, cattle pens and yards were renovated and delivered to their owners, and access roads of the community were restored. In Mariana (MG), a topographic survey was done in 6 houses, which are to be rebuilt in the first construction phase, in addition to the delivery of 3 pens, 1 in Ponte do Gama and 2 in Paracatu de Cima, and the installation of a fence in Pedras. In Gesteira, removal of tailings took place.

In Barra Longa (MG) the recovery of the Barralonguense field was completed, as well as cattle pens and yards. So far, 96 houses and 34 shops were renovated in the same municipality. Whereas in Mariana (MG), a number of renovation actions are in progress, among which the renovation of the roof of the health center (UBS), the drilling for building the first three houses, the floor installation at the community center and the Chapel of Ponte de Gama, and the reconstruction of cattle grids between Paracatu de Cima and Ponte do Gama. Regarding the affected infrastructure, so far seven bridges have been rebuilt and 110 kilometers (68 miles) of unpaved roads have been recovered.

Several restoration works are in progress in Mariana (MG) and Barra Longa (MG), this month focusing on the reconstruction of a house and the renovation of another house and a store in Barra Longa. The continuous maintenance of the dirt road that connects Barra Longa with Ponte Nova was formalized with the Department of Roads (DER).

In Barra Longa, the renovation of two houses and a shop were completed and on October 30, the Manoel Lino Mol Square and the Beira Rio Promenade were opened to the public. With the completion of the restoration works the location was transformed into a multifunctional space, with elements that allow it to be used for social meetings, leisure, physical activities and sport, fostering the integration of the local population and a suitable destination of the public space.

In Mariana the Reconstruction Committee was formed to define the guidelines together with the socio-institutional team and other disciplines about the reconstruction of properties and rural structures. In Barra Longa and Gesteira, the renovation of three houses has been completed and the construction work on the Beira Rio Square and Avenue are in progress, as well as the renovation work to rural properties and riprap. Furthermore, the recovery of the pavement in Claudio Manuel has been completed as well as the 55 kilometers long asphalted roads in the region from Mariana to Barra Longa.
