The agreement, signed on October 26 by the Federal and State Public Ministries of Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo, the public defenders of the Federal Government, MG and ES, the companies Vale, BHP Billiton and Samarco, and the Renova Foundation, reinforces the continuity of the indemnity payments to those affected by the damages due to the Fundao dam collapse, in Mariana (MG).
In March 2018, the Renova Foundation complied with the instructions of the Prosecution Service to not include deadlines when negotiating indemnification. The Foundation emphasizes that, after November 5, 2018, it will continue its activities and programs as normal, completely respecting what was defined by the Transaction and Conduct Adjustment Term – TTAC and by the TAC Governance.
