Informal organizations and groups active in the areas of tourism, sports, culture, and recreation can register for free until April 16th
Promoting the strengthening of 150 local organizations active in the areas of tourism, culture, sports, and recreation is the objective of the Project to Strengthen Local Organizations, which is now open for registration.
The project seeks to strengthen institutions and groups so that they are able to identify, mobilize, raise funds, work in a network, and carry out actions for community development. Considering the institutional, management, knowledge, and market fragility of these organizations, the project’s role will be to provide technical support with specific knowledge about the third sector, providing opportunities for technical deepening, networking, recognition of territory, and insertion of the network concept.
The initiative is a partnership between the Renova Foundation and the Integrated Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Programs (CIEDS). The target audiences are organizations and informal groups with at least one year of experience in tourism, culture, sports, and recreation, with their main office located in one of the municipalities in Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo affected by the collapse of the Fundao dam.
Registration opened on March 1st and will close on April 16th. The project is expected to be developed together with the organizations throughout the year 2021 until December.
Due to the social distancing scenario and other limitations imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the training process for the organizations will be done entirely remotely through the CIEDS platform.
