Those affected by the collapse of the Fundao dam (MG) that meet the Federal Government’s criteria must inform the amounts paid by the Renova Foundation in 2020 in their Income Tax Return. The window for filing the Tax Return is from March 1st until April 30th.
The Renova Foundation sent the Income Statements per mail. They list all the data referring to payments made in 2020 through the Mediated Indemnity Program (PIM), Emergency Financial Aid (AFE), and Simplified Indemnity System. The document is also available on the User Portal on the website www.fundacaorenova.org.
The rules were released by the Federal Revenue Service on February 25th. The Individual Tax Return (ITR) can be generated and downloaded through the website https://www.gov.br/receitafederal/pt-br.

Altogether, about 19,500 Income Statements were made available, almost 5,000 more than last year. The increase is mainly due to the volume of indemnities through the Simplified Indemnity System, whose payments started in September and ended in 2020 with approximately 3,200 indemnities paid.
