The action aims to help companies to regain sustainability by restructuring their business model.
Starting this month, up to 60 formal and informal entrepreneurs will be mobilized in the villages of Regência and Povoação, in Linhares (ES), for the second phase of the business development consultancy project. The initiative is promoted by the Renova Foundation’s Micro and Small Business Recovery Program, in partnership with the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL).
Aimed at micro and small businesses in the commerce, service and production sectors, directly impacted by the Fundao dam collapse, which took place in 2015, in Mariana (MG), the action aims to help companies to regain sustainability by restructuring the model of business, planning and guidance for sales, market service, digital marketing and financial organization.
The consultancy has an estimated duration of 5 months, and the ventures may also benefit from inputs/equipment necessary for structuring the business.
The analyst of the Socioeconomic Programs, Kadio Serge Aristide, highlights: “We are working for the resumption of business impacted in the region and it is important that the merchant knows and participates in the consultancy to resume or improve its service and become more competitive in the market. Thus, it can also contribute to the promotion of the local economy”.
Program Steps
First phase
After mapping the businesses in the region, the IEL consultants visit the enterprises to present the project and formalize the adhesion to the initiative, with the completion and signature of the term by the person responsible for the business.
The first consultancy phase began in July 2021 and included 80 deals, 60 in Regência and 20 in Povoação. However, due to the inconvenience caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the rains, there was a delay in the completion schedule of the process and the new forecast is that the services will be completed by February this year.
Second phase
A diagnosis of the main management and organization needs of the participating company will be carried out, generating points to be worked on to enhance the business.
Third phase
The consultancy will offer remote and on-site training in management, planning, sales, service, digital marketing and financial organization. A total of 16 hours of video classes and 44 individual consulting hours will be available per company.
During the development of the project, there will be continuous guidance of the entrepreneurs and their businesses. Finally, an impact assessment will be carried out to verify the results achieved.
